About Mass Learning Project

Mass Learning Project works with 350+ schools implementing Project Lead The Way (PLTW) in the state of Massachusetts to ensure teachers and school leaders have the support they need to deliver classroom experiences of exceptional quality. Mass Learning Project offers robust support to schools and educators, including grant funding in partnership with One8, PLTW adoption and implementation planning and guidance, year-long professional learning opportunities, and on-the-ground support.

What We Do

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING

We provide in-person and virtual professional learning opportunities tailored to the needs and interests of the MA PLTW Community. Workshops are led by PLTW Master Teachers, other content experts, and industry professionals. Our professional learning events are also excellent opportunities to connect with other MA PLTW educators.

EDUCATOR COMMUNITY & SCHOOL SUPPORT

We work to build a vibrant and connected MA PLTW Community where educators connect and share resources and best practices. We work directly with schools to collaborate on PLTW implementation plans, support instructional quality, and generate and sustain excitement for the program.

MA PLTW IMPLEMENTATION GRANTS

We work with K-12 schools looking to implement or expand their PLTW programming to plan thoughtful adoption and implementation and to onboard teams to the MA PLTW Community and resources. We partner with One8 to provide three-year implementation grants to offset the costs of teacher training, durable equipment, and technology.

Our grants application process includes implementation planning over the course of three years: implementing a three-course High School PLTW pathway, one Gateway course at each grade 6-8, or two Launch modules at each grade K-5. Curriculum We Support

Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is the leading K-12 engineering, computer science, and biomedical science applied learning STEM curriculum and training provider.

Since 2023, Mass Learning Project has supported PLTW implementation in Massachusetts. Mass Learning Project identifies, designs, and disseminates best practices and resources for PLTW implementation, and we work to support an engaged statewide PLTW educator community.
